I am an Associate Professor in the Computer Science department at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and a member of the ViRVIG research group. My main research interests focus on improving virtual natural scenes through real data analysis, procedural algorithms, simulation of natural phenomena and complex interactions between animated characters and the environment.
I earned my PhD in Computing from UPC in 2018 under the supervision of Carlos Andújar and Antonio Chica. My thesis focused on creating realistic natural scenarios, leveraging machine learning and real-world data to enhance procedural and example-based modeling algorithms. Following that, I joined the CNRS - LIRIS laboratory in Lyon as a postdoctoral researcher within the ORIGAMI team. I actively publish in leading journals and conferences in Computer Graphics. I served as Program Chair of the Spanish Conference on Computer Graphics in 2025, and as Conference Chair of the Symposium on Computer Animation 2026.
